My name is Andrea Freedman. I am 55 years old and live in Toronto with my husband.
After working in the corporate world for more than half my life, something was increasingly gnawing away at me. I knew I could not go on like this for another twenty years. I felt anxious, because I had so much writing to get out and not enough time to do it. I finally have an opportunity to do something about that.
Since this new phase of my life has begun, I have written two short stories (Bingo and The Wedding Speech Writer) each published in a collection of Canadian short stories (The Sun Shall Rise and That Golden Summer, respectively). Both stories are now available in the Canadian Library archives.
Personal tragedy has recently inspired me to write my first children’s story, A Sister in Heaven, which is now available for purchase (see my “What’s New” page for details).
My articles have been widely published in various print and on-line media. Check See some of my published articles or click the links under my What’s New? section for updates on my writing progress and latest publications.
Check under Thoughts and Observations, where I will share articles and observations on various topics. I welcome your comments and suggestions.
